JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Super 6 girls high school basketball rankings will be published each Tuesday — except during Christmas week — through the regular season. Records are through Jan. 22.

Rank, School, Record, Classification

1. (1) Bishop Kenny (17-3, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Bolles, Buchholz, Carolina Forest (SC), Dacula (Georgia), Episcopal, Green Hill (Tennessee), Ribault, Ridgeview, San Jose Prep, Sports Leadership and Management, Westminster Academy.

Glance: The Crusaders had three easy wins since our last Super 6,, a 48-15 romp over Oakleaf, a 74-31 pasting of Buchholz and a 56-41 win over San Jose Prep. Mandarin (Wednesday) and Riverside (Friday) are up next for Kenny. The Crusaders should end the regular season on an eight-game winning streak. F Clare Coyle (12.2 ppg, 8.1 rpg) and Riley Talbert (11.4 ppg) are leading Kenny.

2. (2) Providence (18-2, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Beachside, Bolles, Calvary Christian, Creekside, Episcopal, Graves County (Kentucky), Hawthorne, Madison County, Master’s Academy, Orange Park, Ridgeview, Tocoi Creek, Trinity Catholic, West Port.

Glance: Coach Gigi Bistrow’s Stallions are humming along. They handled a 15-win Tocoi Creek (55-35) since our last Super 67. The only challenge left (outside of a pair of two-win teams) is San Jose Prep on Thursday night. Providence has been ranked No. 1 or 2 all season.

3. (5) San Jose Prep (12-7, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Bolles, Cumberland County (Tennessee), Florida High, Ponte Vedra, Ribault.

Glance: The Storm edged Bolles 54-51 since and routed Sandalwood (59-16) before losing to Bishop Kenny (56-41) since our last Super 6. That loss to the Crusaders is San Jose Prep’s only loss to a local team this season.

4. (3) Bolles (13-6, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Dougherty (Ga.), Holy Innocents Episcopal (Ga.), Mandarin, Orange Park, Paxon, Ponte Vedra, Raines, St. Mary’s (New York), Whitney Young (Illinois).

Glance: The Bulldogs went 1-1 since our last Super 6, losing to San Jose Prep (54-51) and beating Menendez (65-32). They’ve got Jackson (Tuesday) and Ribault (Thursday) on deck next. Abby Knauff (15.9 ppg), Evie Freeman (10.2 ppg) and Terrell McCoy (10.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg) lead Bolles.

5. (NR) NFEI (9-5, Class 2A)

Notable wins: Camden County, Monsignor Pace, Page (Tenn.), Paxon, Ponte Vedra.

Glance: The Eagles are surging. They’ve lost to some high quality teams (Central Pointe Christian Academy, Dr. Phillips, Palm Bay and Winter Haven) who have no fewer than 16 wins this season. They drummed Ponte Vedra (62-40) and Gateway Conference champ Paxon (61-26) since our last Super 6. Lesly Gonzalez (16 ppg), Shadia Santacruz (14 ppg) and Sara Araujio Dagba (12.6 ppg) are powering NFEI.

6. (6) Beachside (16-3, Class 6A)

Notable wins: Camden County, Excel Christian Academy, Fletcher, Orange Park, St. Joseph, St. Pius X Catholic (Ga.), Tocoi Creek, White.

Glance: The Barracudas have won 12 straight games, including a 42-40 OT slugfest against a struggling Bartram Trail since our last Super 6. They’ve got Episcopal on deck Thursday night. Kendall Kane (14.3 ppg) and Morgan Cremen (12.1) lead Beachside.
