JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Super 6 girls high school basketball rankings will be published each Tuesday — except during Christmas week — through the regular season. Records are through Jan. 29.

Rank, School, Record, Classification

1. (1) Bishop Kenny (19-3, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Bolles, Buchholz, Carolina Forest (SC), Dacula (Georgia), Episcopal, Green Hill (Tennessee), Mandarin, Ribault, Ridgeview, San Jose Prep, Sports Leadership and Management, Westminster Academy.

Glance: The Crusaders are rounding into playoff form. They’ve won seven consecutive games entering the homestretch, with games left against Parker (Tuesday) and Seffner Christian (Friday) before opening the district tournament. F Clare Coyle (12.3 ppg, 7.6 rpg) and Riley Talbert (11.4 ppg) are leading Kenny.

2. (2) Providence (20-2, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Beachside, Bolles, Calvary Christian, Creekside, Episcopal, Graves County (Kentucky), Hawthorne, Madison County, Master’s Academy, Orange Park, Ridgeview, San Jose Prep, Tocoi Creek, Trinity Catholic, West Port.

Glance: The Stallions, like Bishop Kenny, are a very good pick to end up back in Lakeland. They’ve won six straight games and wrap up their regular season on Thursday against The Rock. Janie Boyd (13.5 ppg), Janai Jordan (13.3 ppg) and Julianna Baskin (11.7 ppg) are leading Providence, although Boyd has been out since before Christmas.

3. (5) NFEI (10-5, Class 2A)

Notable wins: Camden County, Monsignor Pace, Page (Tenn.), Paxon, Ponte Vedra.

Glance: The Eagles have won six straight games and wrap up their regular season on Tuesday against White. . Lesly Gonzalez (15.3 ppg), Shadia Santacruz (12.8 ppg) and Sara Araujio Dagba (12.5 ppg) lead NFEI, which should be the favorite in the District 2-2A tournament.

4. (3) San Jose Prep (13-8, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Bolles, Cumberland County (Tennessee), Florida High, Ponte Vedra, Ribault.

Glance: The Storm went 1-1 since our last Super 6, beating Paxon (63-51) and then losing a tight game to No. 2 Providence (51-48). They’ll be a tough out in next week’s District 3-3A tournament.

5. (6) Beachside (18-3, Class 6A)

Notable wins: Camden County, Excel Christian Academy, Fletcher, Orange Park, St. Joseph, St. Pius X Catholic (Ga.), Tocoi Creek, White.

Glance: The Barracudas stretched their winning streak to 14 games with wins over Sandalwood, Episcopal and Wolfson since our last Super 6. They wrap things up in the regular season on Tuesday against Paxon. Kendall Kane (14.9 ppg) and Morgan Cremen (11.6) lead Beachside.

6. (4) Bolles (14-7, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Dougherty (Ga.), Holy Innocents Episcopal (Ga.), Mandarin, Orange Park, Paxon, Ponte Vedra, Raines, St. Mary’s (New York), Whitney Young (Illinois).

Glance: The Bulldogs went 1-1 since our last Super 6, beating Jackson (60-20) and losing to Ribault (49-46). Abby Knauff (16 ppg) is the lone Bolles player in double figures in scoring, although Evie Freeman is not far off (9.7 ppg).
