These notable names are headed to the NFL combine this month

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The NFL announced its list of players invited to the combine on Tuesday, with quite a few names local fans will remember. While most players listed below are from the state’s Big 3 (Florida, Florida State and Miami) and Georgia, three players who played high school football in the News4JAX coverage region are headed there.

St. Augustine High graduate Austin Reed, Sandalwood product Kingsley Equakun and Brunswick’s Frederica Academy Jaylin Simpson have received invites.

A total of 321 prospects have received invitations to Indianapolis for the annual combine. It runs from Feb. 26 through March 4.
