JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Mandarin boys soccer team is one of only two local teams still standing in the state playoffs.

The Mustangs had no trouble with visiting Lake Mary, thumping the Rams 4-0 in the regional semifinals on Friday night. The win sends Mandarin (19-0-2) on to next Wednesday’s regional final against West Orange for a spot in the state final four. The Warriors blanked Creekside 2-0 to move on. The news wasn’t as good for Nease and Englewood, both of whom saw their seasons end in the second round. Nease lost to Chiles 3-0 in Region 1-6A and Englewood fellt to Arnold, 4-0 in 1-5A.
