Windermere Prep, led by former Stallions assistant coach Brian Hoff, beat Providence 55-43 in the final four game last year. Providence and coach Jim Martin have been perennial state contenders. Martin has won three state championships and played for another. G Chris Arias (13.9 ppg), G Caleb McAbee (11.8 ppg), G Brady Patterson (10.2 ppg) and G David Fonville (9.9 ppg, 5.5 rpg) lead a very balanced Providence squad. The Stallions will be at a size deficiency against a taller Lakers squad. Seven-foot C Sinan Huan had nine rebounds against Providence in last year’s final four. He’s averaging 8.9 boards a game.
