JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Saturday’s Gate River Run has got a full field.
The event announced that all slots for the day — the 15K, 5K, mile challenge, the Junior River Run and the diaper dashes — have been filled for the 47th running of the iconic road race in Jacksonville.

The last time the event sold out came in the pandemic-capped race in 2021. Entries were limited to 8,000 that year due to safety precautions. WJXT will broadcast the race on Saturday, both at News4JAX.com, News4JAX+ and through the News4JAX app.

Runners can pick up their race packets at the expo beginning Thursday. The expo is open from noon until 6 p.m. On Friday, which is typically the busiest time at the expo, hours are from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Packets can be picked up from 6:30 until 8 a.m. on the morning of the race.
The race itself gets underway at 7:52 a.m. on Saturday with the 15K adaptive racers and the event’s streakers (runners who have been in all previous 46 competitions) going off first. The elite women start at 7:55 a.m. and the elite men and first wave of runners hit the gun time at 8 a.m. The next waves for the 15K are 8:05, 8:10 and 8:15 a.m.
