JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Super 6 high school softball rankings will be published Thursday’s during the regular season. Records are through March 13.

Rank, previous, team, record, classification

1. (1) Baldwin (9-0, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Baker County, Mandarin, Middleburg.

Glance: The Indians are rolling along. Since our last Super 6, they’ve clubbed Bradford (9-0) and clipped Baker County (2-0). Shaylen Byrd fired a two-hitter against the Wildcats. Kendall North (.586, 3 HR) is powering Baldwin, which has outscored teams 89-6 this season as it thunders along to a third consecutive state semifinal berth. The Indians have a quality Paxon up next on Thursday night.

2. (2) Episcopal (9-1, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Fernandina Beach, Fletcher, Oakleaf, Providence, West Orange.

Glance: Pitcher Grace Jones is cruising towards the best season of her career. She fired a perfect game in a 12-0 win over Fletcher since our last Super 6. Not only did Jones card the no-no with 12 Ks, Jones was just a double away from hitting for the cycle. Episcopal is back in action on Tuesday against West Nassau.

3. (3) University Christian (5-1, Class 2A)

Notable wins: Bolles, Flagler Palm Coast.

Glance: The reigning Class 2A state champs beat Columbia 7-2 since our last Super 6. Sophia Kardatzke is a machine. She’s hitting .786 (11 for 14) and has 60 Ks in 29.2 IP. They’re back in action Thursday night against Ridgeview.

4. (4) Middleburg (8-1, Class 5A)

Notable wins: Baker County, Nease, Paxon, West Nassau.

Glance: The Broncos beat Ponte Vedra (5-0) and Bradford (16-2) since our last Super 6. They’re off until March 21 for Spring Break when they return against Clay. Alyssa Prather is having a monster year for Middleburg hitting .607 with three homers and 12 RBI. Morgan Beckham and Lily Bennett are dealing in the pitcher’s circle.

5. (5) Creekside (9-0, Class 7A)

Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Nease, Trinity Catholic.

Glance: The Knights routed Bartram Trail (13-3) and Tocoi Creek (10-0) since our last Super 6. P Kaylee Martineau continues leading the Knights at the plate .536 and in the circle (6-0, 50 Ks, 38.2 IP). Hailey Cunningham and Bella Campbell are both hitting over .500. Creekside is back in action after Spring Break next week against Ponte Vedra as the schedule begins to toughen up.

6. (NR) West Nassau (5-3, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Baker County, Hilliard, Oakleaf.

Glance: The Warriors move back into the Super 6 ahead of Oakleaf. They do have a big loss to a quality Paxon (8-2), but one loss is to unbeaten Melbourne and the other is to No. 4 Middleburg.
