1. (1) Episcopal (6-5, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Creekside, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Catholic.
Glance: The Eagles went 2-1 since our last Super 6, toppling previously unbeaten Pensacola Catholic (15-11) and a very good Oak Hall (11-10). They lost to Potomac (Virginia) 17-6. Big showdown on Tuesday against No. 4 Ponte Vedra.
2. (2) Bartram Trail (7-3, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Nease, Oviedo, Ponte Vedra (twice), St. Thomas Aquinas, Tocoi Creek.
Glance: The Bears went 2-1 since our last Super 6. They crushed No. 5 Tocoi Creek (22-1) and beat Ponte Vedra for the second time this season, 17-8 in the Rivalry on the River. Reigning All-News4JAX player of the year Ryann Frechette has 51 goals and notched career goal No. 400 in the win over the Sharks. Emily Barnette (31) and Esa Brennemann (25) follow Frechette. Their loss was a 16-8 game to Potomac School (Virginia).
3. (3) Creekside (9-3, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Cherokee (Ga.), Fleming Island, Gulf Breeze, Oviedo, St. Augustine, Tocoi Creek, Winter Park.
Glance: The Knights went 1-1 since our last Super 6, beating Menendez (19-6) and losing to Bolles (14-13). They’ve got Beachside (Tuesday) and Nease (Thursday) up next. Natalie Charyak leads the Knights with 62 goals.
4. (4) Ponte Vedra (6-6, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Nease, Oak Hall, Potomac School (Virginia), Tocoi Creek.
Glance: The Sharks went 2-1 since our last Super 6. They were the only local team to hand Potomac School a loss, beating the team from Virginia 8-6. They lost to Bartram Trail 17-8 in the Rivalry on the River.
5. (5) Tocoi Creek (8-4, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Bolles, Fleming Island, Menendez, St. Augustine.
Glance: The Toros beat St. Joseph (17-1) and then got rocked by No. 1 Bartram Trail (22-1) since our last Super 6. They’ve got Nease (Tuesday) and Atlantic Coast (Thursday) up this week.
6. (NR) Bolles (5-5, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Beachside, Creekside, Fletcher, Gulf Breeze.
Glance: The Bulldogs beat No. 4 Creekside (14-13) and Beachside (15-3) since our last Super 6. Two big games up next this week, with Oak Hall on Monday and No. 1 Episcopal on Thursday.
