JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An abbreviated night of high school football saw one big time shocker in the Super 10.
No. 3 Bradford saw its perfect season end in a 21-7 loss to Newberry, the Tornadoes’ first regular season loss in more than a year. The win gives Newberry the District 5-2A title and prevents Bradford from back-to-back unbeaten regular seasons. The Tornadoes last lost in the regular season on Nov. 4, 2022, a 10-7 setback to Suwannee.
Baker County went on the road to beat Suwannee, 27-17, bouncing back from a loss to Godby. Even with the win, the Wildcats were eliminated from the District 2-3A race after Godby beat Wakulla 27-7.
