High school football ‘24: Friday night’s scoreboard on the final week of the regular season

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The high school football regular season is almost in the books.

After two nights in Week 11, the playoff picture is taking shape.

No. 2 Super 10 Nease took another big step towards its first perfect regular season since 2006 with a 42-20 romp over Beachside. The Panthers (8-0) close their regular season next Thursday against rival Bartram Trail. The Bears (4-5) are outside the playoff bubble right now but could make it interesting with a win over the Panthers.

No. 8 Oakleaf bounced back from a loss to Mandarin with a 56-7 blowout over Tocoi Creek.

Previously unbeaten Union County dropped its first game of the season in a 30-29 loss at Chiefland.

Middleburg wrapped up its best season since 2003 with a 26-21 win over North Marion. The Broncos (7-3) likely nailed down their third consecutive playoff berth with the win.

In the Sunshine State Athletic Association playoffs, Fernandina Beach stunned county rival West Nassau for a 24-20 win to end the Warriors season at 9-2. Paxon’s season also continued with a 21-12 win over Lake Weir. The Golden Eagles are 8-1 and host the Pirates (5-6) in the second round next week.
