JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – High school football season is back. That means our football predictions are back, too.

News4JAX sports editor Justin Barney reveals his Week 12 predictions for Thursday and Friday night games. All game times are Friday at 7 p.m. unless indicated.

Week 12 predictions

Thursday, Nov. 7

Bartram Trail (4-5) at (2) Nease (8-0): Panthers are unbeaten for the first time since 2006. N4J pick: (2) Nease 38, Bartram 24.

DeLand (5-4) at (10) Flagler Palm Coast (8-1): Bulldogs wrap up a nine-win season. N4J pick: (10) FPC 35, DeLand 24.

Impact Christian (5-4) at Episcopal (4-5): Lions are going to the playoffs. N4J pick: Impact Christian 28, Episcopal 24.

Suwannee (4-5) at Wakulla (6-3): Bulldogs can’t quite get to .500. N4J pick: Wakulla 27, Suwannee 21.

University Christian (4-5) at Zephyrhills Christian (1-9): Christians get back to .500 for the playoffs. N4J pick: UC 42, Zephyrhills Christian 12.

Friday, Nov. 8

Cedar Creek Christian (4-5) at Windermere Prep (2-6): Not sure how a two-win team is a top seed but here we are. N4J pick: Cedar Creek 28, Windermere Prep 21.

Christ’s Church (9-1) at Master’s Academy (9-1): Eagles keep things going and will play for the 11-man state title next week. N4J pick: Christ’s Church 21, Master’s Academy 20.

Duval Charter (3-8) at Rocky Bayou Christian (5-3): Tough road trip for the Panthers. N4J pick: Rocky Bayou 31, Duval Charter 20.
