JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Trevor Lawrence may not play on Sunday for the Jaguars and faces an uncertain path for the remainder of the season as he continues to get treatment for a shoulder injury, according to a report from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
According to Rapoport’s social media post, he said Lawrence is weighing options for the future and is unlikely to play against the Vikings in Week 10. No surgery is scheduled currently for Lawrence.

Lawrence was banged up in Sunday’s 28-23 loss to the Eagles and was listed on the injury report this week with a left shoulder issue. The Jaguars re-signed CJ Beathard to the practice squad Wednesday, a move that seems to suggest that the team expects him to be limited at the very least. Backup Mac Jones would start if Lawrence isn’t able to play.
It’s the latest in what has been a miserable season for Jacksonville. Injuries have walloped the franchise and the team has been erratic on the field. Lawrence signed a $275 million contract extension in the offseason and became one of the NFL’s highest paid quarterbacks. He’s had an uneven season, with a miserable four-game start before finally turning things around since them. He has passed for 2,004 yards (11 TDs, 6 INTs) and has taken his completion percentage from the low 50s to 61.4%.
Lawrence has missed just one game in his NFL career, last year against the Panthers.
