Quality wins: Godby, Trinity Catholic.
Notable: The Crusaders went 2-1 since our last Super 6, routing Godby (50-15) and clipping Bishop Moore (48-37). They lost to Legacy Early College (38-25) out of Greenville, SC, a team coming off a 20-8 season. The first true local challenges come this week with Ribault (Tuesday) and Paxon (Thursday). Kathleen Crawley (13 ppg), Abby Baker (6.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg), Reese Mayer (8.5 ppg) and Makala DesJarlais (6.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg) lead Kenny.
2. (2) Providence (3-1, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Bolles, Somerset Academy-Canyons.
Notable: The Stallions had a 3-1 mark since our last Super 6. Among the quality Ws, they handled a good Bolles team in the opener (56-43) and handed 3-1 Somerset Academy its first loss (51-48). The loss was to Cardinal Mooney (71-54), a team that was the Class 3A state runner-up last year. Oakleaf and Trinity Catholic are up this week.
3. (3) Bolles (2-3, Class 3A)
Quality wins: Ribault, Somerset Prep.
Notable: The Bulldogs had a three-game losing streak since our last Super 6, getting handled by Providence (56-43) and losing to Holy Innocents of Episcopal (68-46) and North Crowley (51-45), both teams who are coming off seasons of 20 wins or more. They bounced back with a quality W over Somerset Prep (54-41).
4. (NR) Creekside (5-1, Class 7A)
Quality wins: Fletcher, St. Augustine, Tocoi Creek.
Notable: Quality open for the Knights, whose only loss (48-44) came to 2-0 Gainesville. The schedule hasn’t picked up too much yet but that changes quickly in mid-December. Brie McCoy (12 ppg, 7 rpg), Cami Waters (10 ppg) and Presley Brinkley (9 ppg) lead the Knights.
5. (NR) Tocoi Creek (4-2, Class 6A)
Quality wins: Beachside, Jackson.
Notable: Toros are off and running, with a pair of quality Ws since our last Super 6 in the form of a rout of previously ranked Beachside (71-48) and a tough 48-45 win over a good Jackson team. They’ve got a local loss to No. 4 Creekside (69-64) and a 76-59 loss to 1 of 1 Academy out of North Carolina.
6. (6) San Jose Prep (2-1, Class 2A)
