Rank, previous, school, record, classification

1. (1) Ponte Vedra (7-0-1, Class 5A)

Quality wins: Bishop Kenny, Bishop Moore, Chiles, Niceville, Stanton, St. Johns Country Day, Tocoi Creek.

Notable: Great week for the Sharks who beat Chiles (3-0) and Bishop Moore (3-1) since our last Super 6. They’ve got perhaps the regular season game of the year on Friday night when No. 2 Bartram Trail visits the Shark Tank. That has been an unbelievable rivalry over the years between Dave Silverberg and Bartram’s Jennifer Rodriguez. The Sharks won 1-0 last year but the Bears have a 9-7-2 edge in the series since 2012. Lily Morse and Izzy Whitaker have combined to score 15 goals for Ponte Vedra.

2. (2) Bartram Trail (7-0-1, Class 6A)

Quality wins: Chiles, Episcopal, Fletcher, P.K. Yonge, St. Johns CD.

Notable: The Bears a quality Chiles team 3-1 and had no trouble with Lincoln (5-1) Since our last Super 6. They’ve got a difficult stretch ahead, starting with No. 1 Ponte Vedra on Friday followed by Creekside on Dec. 17 and Beachside on Dec. 19 before the Christmas break. Brooke Gosse and Ali Fletcher have scored a combined 17 goals. Expect a defensive clash against Ponte Vedra.

3. (3) Creekside (7-0-1, Class 7A)

Quality wins: Beachside, Edgewood, Oakleaf.

Notable: The Knights, the defending Class 7A state champ, remained unbeaten with a 3-0 win over Tocoi Creek since our last Super 6. They’ve got a really challenging stretch before Christmas, hosting Stanton (Friday), Bartram Trail (Dec. 17) and then traveling to No. 1 Ponte Vedra (Dec. 19). Sarah Weisberg, Brooke Godoy and Lily Paisant are leading the way for Creekside.

4. (4) St. Johns Country Day (7-2, Class 1A)

Quality wins: Atlantic Coast, Fletcher, Lakeland Christian, Niceville, P.K. Yonge.

Notable: Huge early season win for the Spartans last week with a 1-0 win over four-time defending state champion Lakeland Christian. That is very likely a state semifinal or final preview for head coach Mike Pickett’s team. Calli Berrang, Reygan Rogero and Mia Johnson have combined for eight goals. St. Johns has Lakewood Ranch and Venice up Friday and Saturday to round out the week.

5. (5) Beachside (7-1, Class 5A)

Quality wins: Episcopal, Navarre, Oakleaf.

Notable: The Barracudas have won six straight since a 1-0 loss to Creekside. They walloped Englewood (8-0) and Oakleaf (4-0) since our last Super 6. They wrap up action before the Christmas break against Tocoi Creek (Friday), Nease (Dec. 17) and Bartram Trail (Dec. 19). Peyton Thomas, Bella Duenas, Parker Smith and Abbi Cooper are leading Beachside’s attack.

6. (NR) Fletcher (7-2-1, Class 6A)

Quality wins: Flagler Palm Coast, Oakleaf, Stanton.

Notable: Quality start for the Senators, whose only losses are to No. 2 Bartram Trail and No. 4 St. Johns. They’ve got Bolles (Thursday), Sandalwood (Dec. 16) and Atlantic Coast (Dec. 17) before the holiday break. Alexandria Mai (8 goals) and Emma McMurry (7 goals) are leading the Senators.
