Rank, previous, school, record, classification

1. (2) Creekside (10-0-1, Class 7A)

Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Beachside, Edgewood, Oakleaf, Stanton.

Notable: The defending Class 7A state champs move to the top spot after knocking off the teams that were previously in front of them. Creekside had a 1-0 win over Bartram Trail on Dec. 17 when they moved up to No. 2. Then, just two days later, they beat previous No. 1 Ponte Vedra, 2-1. Sarah Weisberg, Brooke Godoy and Lily Paisant have combined to score 21 goals. An even better stat for the Knights and first-year head coach Lexie Messick is the performance from the defense. Creekside and sensational keeper Hailey Smith have allowed just three goals.

2. (1) Ponte Vedra (8-1-2, Class 5A)

Quality wins: Bishop Kenny, Bishop Moore, Chiles, Fleming Island, Niceville, Stanton, St. Johns Country Day, Tocoi Creek.

Notable: The Sharks lost their first regular season game to a local program in two years when Creekside prevailed for a 2-1 win. That marked Ponte Vedra’s first local regular season loss since Dec. 20, 2022, a 1-0 game to Bartram Trail. And it also ended a 24-match unbeaten streak dating back to last year. Lily Morse and Izzy Whitaker have combined for 17 goals for the Sharks. They’re back in action on Friday against South Walton.

3. (3) Bartram Trail (8-1-2, Class 6A)

Quality wins: Beachside, Chiles, Episcopal, Fletcher, P.K. Yonge, St. Johns CD.

Notable: The Bears played just once since our last Super 6, a 2-1 win over Beachside. They’ve got Navarre and South Walton up next this week. Brooke Gosse and Ali Fletcher have scored a combined 19 goals.

4. (4) St. Johns Country Day (10-3-1, Class 1A)

Quality wins: Atlantic Coast, Fletcher, Lakeland Christian, Lakewood Ranch, Niceville, Oakleaf, P.K. Yonge, Stanton.

Notable: Mike Pickett’s team went 1-1 since our last Super 6, beating Stanton (4-0) and losing to an always challenging Bishop Moore (3-1). Calli Berrang, Reygan Rogero and Cece Nowicki have combined for 13 goals. St. Johns is back in action Jan. 9 against Clay.

5. (5) Fletcher (10-2-1, Class 6A)

Quality wins: Atlantic Coast, Bolles, Flagler Palm Coast, Oakleaf, Sandalwood, Stanton.

Notable: The Senators have won five straight games and haven’t played since a 5-1 win over Atlantic Coast on Dec. 17.

6. (6) Stanton (10-5, Class 4A)

Quality wins: Atlantic Coast, Clay, Fernandina Beach, Fleming Island, Nease, Wolfson.

Notable: I had a tough decision on this spot once again. The Blue Devils have losses to four Super 6 teams (Creekside, Fletcher, Ponte Vedra, St. Johns Country Day), including a 4-0 loss to the Spartans since our last Super 6. My other options were Bishop Kenny and Nease here, but I elected to keep the Blue Devils here. Their only shaky loss is to Bolles. Kenny has a 4-1 loss to Fleming Island and a 6-1 to Ponte Vedra. The Blue Devils played Ponte Vedra tight (2-1) and also handled Fleming Island, so I kept Stanton in ahead of Kenny and the Panthers. Kate Huntington, Caroline Joiner, Peyton Burris and Kimiko O’Connor have combined for 25 goals for Stanton.
