Glance: It’s difficult to believe, but Bolles is in the state semifinals for the first time in program history. Rutherford had knocked the Bulldogs out the past two years in the playoffs before Bolles finally cleared the hurdle this year. Head coach Kelly Stevenson has the best team in her 19 seasons with the program. Abby Knauff has been a mainstay her four seasons and leads four Bolles players in scoring (15.6 ppg, 5.1 rpg). Evie Freeman (13.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 5.6 assists per game), Presley Norman (12.3 ppg, 4.1 apg) and Terrell McCoy (12.2 ppg, 7.9 rpg) are an excellent foursome. Stevenson won a state championship during her senior year at Nease in 1999. Her coach then, Sherri Anthony, is an assistant coach on this year’s Bolles team.
