1. (2) Atlantic Coast (10-1, Class 7A)

Quality wins: Baldwin, Bishop Kenny, Creekside, Episcopal, Fletcher.

Notable: The Stingrays are the area’s hottest team and definitely don’t feel like they’re a fluke. Since they barreled into the Super 6 last week, they added another three wins, including a quality 7-2 game over Episcopal. They face Fleming Island on Friday before a hiatus for spring break. Stella Lynton (.515) and Morgan Brown (.500) are lighting opposing pitchers up. Emma Cano and Skye Deans are both at .400 or better.

2. (1) Baker County (7-1-1, Class 4A)

Quality wins: Columbia, Fort White, Hilliard, Keystone Heights (twice), West Nassau.

Notable: The Wildcats had two quality Ws since our last Super 6, a 2-0 win against West Nassau and a 3-0 win in eight innings over previously ranked Fort White. They lost their first game of the season to Baldwin (3-0). Nasia Green (.448), Baleigh Shields (.387, 2 HR) and Chloe Johnson (.348) are leading the Baker County regulars.

3. (3) Middleburg (8-3, Class 5A)

Quality wins: Baldwin, Cornerstone Charter, Episcopal, Keystone Heights, Oakleaf, Trinity Catholic, West Nassau.

Notable: The Broncos are on a tear, too. They’ve won six straight, including a 7-1 win over a solid Keystone since our last Super 6. Emma Ward (.467) leads the offense followed by Mika Wesley (.419) and Kerra Clarida (.389). They’ve got Yulee on Thursday night before spring break.

4. (5) Baldwin (7-3, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Baker County, Mandarin, Paxon, Trinity Catholic.

Notable: The Indians have won three straight, including a 3-0 win over No. 1 Baldwin since our last Super 6. They’ve buttoned things up, too, outscoring those teams 16-3. They round out the week with First Coast before a 12-day break. Kendall North (.633, 12 RBI), Makaila Fry (.462, 12 RBI) and Jazmine Ramos-Merced (.406, 2 HR, 11 RBI) are leading the way among the regulars for Baldwin.

5. (NR) Paxon (7-1, Class 3A)

Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Mandarin, Ponte Vedra.

Notable: The Golden Eagles are always a solid team and will battle for the Gateway crown. They’ve won four straight including their best win of the season (6-0 over Ponte Vedra) since our last Super 6. Freshmen Maleah Rouse (.615, 3 HR, 15 RBI) and Sariyah Jackson (.500) lead the offense. Sophomore Kassidy Edwards (.480, 10 RBI, 2 HR) is right behind. Like Atlantic Coast, Paxon is good and very young, a combination that suggests some bright seasons ahead.

6. (4) Ponte Vedra (7-1, Class 5A)

Quality wins: Beachside, Fletcher, Menendez.

Notable: The Sharks lost their first game of the season in a 6-0 game to Paxon. They bounced back with a 12-4 win over a better-than-its-record Bishop Kenny. Creekside and Keystone Heights round out the week for the Sharks before spring break. Aoife Weaver (.483, HR), Natasha Deutch (.458) and Emma Shin (.417) are leading the Sharks.
