JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bartram Trail High School graduate Alex Lodise turned in the best game of his career in front of the home crowd, belting a walk-off grand slam and leading Florida State to an 8-4 win over Florida on Tuesday night at a sold out VyStar Ballpark.
Lodise capped his highlight night with the homer to complete hitting for the cycle. He had four of Florida State’s eight hits in the game and four RBI to headline the annual Sunshine Showdown in Jacksonville.

Another Bartram product, Brody DeLamielleure, blasted a two-run homer for the Seminoles in the fourth inning, his third of the season, for a 3-1 lead. The Seminoles rallied in the bottom of the inning when Gage Harrelson legged out an infield single to drive in Jaxson West and tie things up at 4-all.
Lodise did the rest after that, mashing his eighth homer of the season to win it for the Seminoles. He has 19 extra-base hits in 24 games for Florida State and is hitting .491 this season.
