1. (1) Ponte Vedra (14-3, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Allatoona (Ga.), Bartram Trail (twice), Creekside, Episcopal, Fletcher, Hayes (Ohio), Jupiter, Nease, Oak Hall, Pensacola Catholic, St. Augustine, Starr’s Mill (Ga.), Winter Park.
Notable: The Sharks hammered Bartram Trail 15-1 since our last Super 6 and move into Wednesday night’s District 3-2A championship game against Nease. Ponte Vedra has the No. 1 seed in Region 1-2A sewn up and would host through the regional final in the playoffs.
2. (2) Episcopal (15-3, Class 1A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Benedictine (Ga.), Buchholz, Fletcher, Menendez, Niceville, Savannah Country Day (Ga.), South Walton, St. Augustine, Trinity Catholic.
Notable: The Eagles open the District 2-1A tournament on Tuesday against Paxon. A win sends them to the final against Maclay or Fernandina Beach. They will go into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in Region 1-1A. Robert Adams leads the Eagles in scoring with 54 goals followed by Tre Carter (50 goals), Jackson Soud (49 goals) and Dylan Hauser (46 goals).
3. (3) Bolles (14-5, Class 1A)
Quality wins: Bishop Verot, Fleming Island, Fletcher, Hayes (Tenn.), Lake Highland Prep, Montverde, Nease, South Walton, St. Joseph, Timber Creek, Trinity Catholic.
Notable: The Bulldogs ended a three-game losing streak with a 22-1 romp over a quality St. Joseph in the District 3-1A semifinals. They’ve got St. Augustine up next on Tuesday night in the final. All of Bolles’ losses this season have been to four upper level out of area teams, and one local team (Episcopal). They’ll likely open the playoffs as a No. 2 seed in Region 1-1A behind Episcopal.
4. (4) Nease (12-5, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Buchholz, Chiles, Creekside, Pope (Ga.), South Walton, St. Augustine, Trinity Catholic.
Notable: Nease is in the District 3-2A championship game on Wednesday night against rival Ponte Vedra after doubling up Creekside (12-6) in the district semis. They’re comfortably in the state playoffs and will be a No. 3 seed in Region 1-2A.
5. (5) Creekside (12-6, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Fletcher, Starr’s Mill (Ga.), St. Augustine, Tocoi Creek.
Notable: The Knights weren’t as competitive against Nease this time around. Creekside lost to the Panthers 12-6 in the District 3-2A semis, a bit different of a game than their last meeting (9-8 loss). They’re still comfortably in the playoffs as a No. 4 seed.
6. (6) Fletcher (11-6, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Fleming Island, Nease, St. Augustine.
Notable: The Senators open the District 2-2A tournament on Tuesday against Atlantic Coast. A win would send them into Thursday’s final against Fleming Island or Mandarin. They’re currently the No. 5 seed in Region 1-2A, trailing local teams Ponte Vedra, Gulf Breeze, Nease and Creekside. Mathew Weidle (36 goals), Bryden Speeg (34 goals) and Nathan Phillips (29 goals) lead Fletcher in scoring.
Others
Bartram Trail (9-8, Class 2A); Providence (10-8, Class 1A); St. Augustine (11-8, Class 1A); Tocoi Creek (9-6, Class 2A).
