Jacksonville took a one-goal lead into the final period before Kyle Betts found the net just three-and-a-half minutes in to knot things at 2-all. The game went into overtime after that. Alex Kile scored, and the Everblades stayed in front to the finish.

Jacksonville scored twice in the second period, hitting the net twice in less than a minute. Olivier Nadeau evened things at 1, and Logan Cockerill had the other to put the Icemen up 2-1.

The Icemen are trying to reverse history against the Everblades. Florida trailed the best-of-seven series 3-1 last year before ripping off three wins to stun Jacksonville. They’ve ended the Icemen’s season in their previous four trips.
