JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The high school softball playoffs are in full swing, with 11 local teams moving on to the second round.
Three second-round games feature three all-local matchups, with Middleburg and Matanzas facing off in Region 1-5A, Episcopal and Baldwin meeting in 1-2A and University Christian and Harvest Community meeting in 1-1A. In 1-4A, Paxon will also have a local opponent in the second round and face the Suwannee-West Nassau winner.

Weather has kept a couple games from being completed, with Creekside still waiting to play its opener against Spruce Creek, and Suwannee and West Nassau tied in a suspended game.
Also moving on were Columbia, Oakleaf and Super 6 No. 1-ranked Baker County.
