Hakem Smith is on the baseball team at Sandalwood High School. He graduated from the Early College Program with an AA degree.
Hakem volunteers with the Fort Caroline Athletic Association helping with little league and with Rip City, a training facility for both baseball and softball players.
He currently has a 3.5 GPA.
