The University of Florida star receiver went on to play 11 seasons in the NFL with the Texans, Patriots, Broncos,  Redskins and Dolphins.

Gaffney's legal troubles also go back to college, where he was kicked off the football team in 2000 for grand theft, but was eventually reinstated by the Gators.

He was suspended by the NFL in 2012 for failing to report a 2010 arrest. The Dolphins cut Gaffney in 2012 one day before his suspension, and he finished his career with 5,690 yards on 447 receptions with 24 touchdowns.
