Emily is returning home to Central Florida after starting her career in Panama City, Florida. A Maitland native and graduate of Winter Park High School, Emily is thrilled to come home tell the stories that matter to the Central Florida community.
Emily became the weekend morning anchor in 2024, and you can watch her every Saturday and Sunday starting at 5 a.m. or during the week starting at 4 p.m. when she's reporting the latest news in your area.
While Emily loves being a Floridian, she did spend time in Georgia when she attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. During her time in Statesboro, Emily learned the basics of being a journalist and covered several stories across sports, politics, on-campus safety and crime.
After Emily graduated in 2019, she took a job in Panama City shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic began. It was because of the pandemic Emily felt it was important to tell the stories of people impacted by the coronavirus and help in sharing information to keep our communities safe.
While she lived in Panama City Emily anchored weekend newscasts, covered hurricanes, wildfires, crime, education, politics, agriculture, economic development and the Panhandle's booming tourism industry.
Emily loves living in Central Florida where you can enjoy a little bit of everything -- from beaches to theme parks, there is always something to do! She is also a big foodie and loves trying out new foods and restaurants.
If you see Emily out and about, feel free to say hi!
