The Neuralink company, owned by tech billionaire Elon Musk, announced it successfully implanted a chip in a human brain for the first time.
U.S. regulators approved the company to begin trials for the implant in May.

The neuralink device called telepathy, which is about the size of a large coin, is meant to help people who have lost the use of their limbs.
Neuralink is one of many groups working on linking the nervous system to computers, efforts aimed at helping treat brain disorders, overcoming brain injuries and other applications.
The device is designed to connect the human brain to a computer, giving patients the ability to control a cursor or keyboard with their minds.
Musk said the patient with the implant is recovering and the results are promising.
