After a nearly 30-year career in the Air Force and Air National Guard, Jacksonville Attorney Randy Reep is retiring.

The I-TEAM has learned an allegation of sexual assault among two local servicemembers that went viral on TikTok will *NOT* be prosecuted. Staff Sgt. Kacie Suchanek went public with the allegations onTikTok earlier this year… that video that now has nearly 7 million views.

More than 6% of the Air National Guard and Reserve did not meet the deadline to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and could begin to face consequences if they don’t get the mandated shots or receive an exemption, the Air Force said Friday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Additional help is on the way to assist with COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Sixty additional airmen from Florida’s Air National Guard were activated for duty Monday. Since March, more than 2,300 Florida National Guard members have helped in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Twenty National Guard members have been stationed at the Regency Square Mall testing site since doses of the vaccine started being administered there. According to the 125th Fighter Wing, of the 60 airmen from the 125th Fighter Wing activated Monday, 40 will go out into communities and help with getting people signed up for vaccine appointments while the other 20 will replace the guardsmen currently at the Regency Square Mall.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The U.S. Air Force on Friday announced Friday it has awarded the Air National Guard base in Jacksonville with the next round of new jet fighters to replace its fleet of aging F-15Cs. The Air Force will conduct on-the-ground site surveys at both bases to assess operational requirements, potential impacts to existing missions, infrastructure and manpower, and costs before deciding which aircraft will replace the F-15C mission. The Air Force also plans to replace the remaining Air National Guard operational F-15C/D bases (in Massachusetts, California and Lousiana) with either F-35As or F-15EXs. The Air National Guard has consistently stepped up to meet the challenges of countless national contingencies over recent years, Maj Gen Mike Loh, director of the Air National Guard, said in a statement. Transitioning to these new weapon systems will maintain our effectiveness as a member of the total air Force into the future.
