American Idol contestant Haley Smith died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday morning, ET has confirmed. "Unfortunately, we responded to a single-vehicle accident at 0200 hours, on Aug. 31, 2019," the Millinocket Police Department told ET in a statement on Tuesday. Former "American Idol" contestant Haley Smith died in a motorcycle accident Saturday morning, according to reports. Smith, who was from Utah, crashed her motorcycle in Millinocket, Maine, around 2 a.m. after failing to navigate a sharp turn, police said.
