She’s the 31-year old sister of the Atlantic Coast High School Football coach Mike Montemayor. And tonight was the first time little Tyler got to attend a football game coached by his uncle. So right before the start of the game, Milani was escorted out onto the field where she was honored by both teams and people in the stands. The coach of the First Coast High School Football team says he was using that moment to teach his players about life off the football field and what it truly means to be strong in the face of adversity.

Former Atlantic Coast High School baseball coach Joel Davis was arrested on Wednesday afternoon for violating a domestic violence injunction. Davis had previous domestic violence injunctions filed on him in 2012 and this year. According to the injunction, Davis had begun stalking her in September of 2019 after she moved out of the couples residence. According to court documents, Joel Clark Davis, 55, was arrested Feb. 15 on a charge of violating an injunction for protection against domestic violence and he remains in the Duval County jail. The injunction for protection was filed in 2012 and extended the following year. Davis was the head baseball coach at Atlantic Coast High School since the school opened in 2011 until earlier this year. As students changed classes Thursday, they could be seen passing by a memorial for Atlantic Coast High chemistry teacher Vivian James, who was found dead inside her Westside home days after Christmas. “She was an educator of educators,” Atlantic Coast High teacher Ben Rowan told News4Jax on Thursday.
