Get ready for a real feel of Autumn on Oct. 1 as Jacksonville sees a cool down coming next week. Warm temperatures in the upper 80s will end September this weekend followed by a series of cold fronts dropping through North Florida next week. They bring us a pattern of cooler than normal temperatures for the start of October while the coldest air since last spring dives south. Finally the cool air pattern is set with a third front Oct. 1. The Climate Prediction Center forecasts a 70% chance of below average temperatures in Georgia and north Florida through Oct. 6.

Jacksonville, FLA. – Today we still saw coastal flooding evening though our northeasterly winds began to relax a bit. Wednesday evening will be lovely and cool again, with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s. Friday marks the end of our cool temperatures for now, we will warm up to 87° with widely scattered showers. The weekend will be warm and wet at times, with afternoon highs in the upper 80s and widespread chances for passing showers and storms.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - It is hotter than yesterday, and we have the chance for setting a record if temperatures reach 94. Today and Wednesday highs bake in the low to mid 90s inland to upper 80s/near 90 coastal. Near record high temperatures are possible through Thursday as the WSW winds push inland temperatures into the low/mid 90s each afternoon.
