A Baker County jury will hear closing arguments Friday in the trial of a babysitter charged in the hot car death of a 10-month-old.

A woman accused of leaving a 10-month-old she was babysitting in a hot car for five hours testified in her own defense Thursday as she faces trial on charges of negligent homicide and child neglect.

It was an emotional day in court for the family of the 10-month-old who was left in a hot car and died in the summer of 2023.
