The iconic American actress and comedian Betty White died Friday morning at age 99, just weeks before what would have been her 100th birthday, TMZ has reported.

The children of Roger and Betty Colee said they wouldn’t have been happy living without one another. “We were so shocked this went down so quick.”Their kids, Cheryl Reese and Wayne Colee, say Roger wasn’t feeling well on November 21. A married couple who’ve lived in St. Augustine their entire lives passed away from COVID-19 complications within 5 days of each other. The Colee’s service is this Saturday at Turning Point at Calvary followed by a burial at Memorial Park Cemetery with COVID-19 guidelines in place.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Department of Justice has announced 80 people have been charged in a conspiracy to steal millions of dollars through a romance scam. Each year, thousands of people fall victim to romance scams. In 2018, the Consumer Sentential had 21,000 reports of romance scams for a total loss of $143 million. The Federal Trade Commission says on average a person will give about $2,600 to one of the romance scammers. Data shows romance scams have doubled from 2015-2018.

Little did they know, their daughter-in-law had nominated them to be the longest married couple in Michigan. The two were recently honored with a certificate from the Worldwide Marriage Encounter, a pro-marriage organization, through its Longest Married Couple Project (LMC). Betty admits they're probably not the longest married couple in Michigan, but since they were nominated, she's still very proud of their 73 years together.
