For more than a year, the daughter and widow of Jared Bridegan, the man ambushed and murdered in Jacksonville Beach in February 2022, have been turning a tragic experience into a beautiful act of kindness aimed at helping children who are in the middle of crime scenes or investigations.

Using a tragic experience to help others in heartbreaking situations, family and friends of a father of four killed in Jacksonville Beach are placing toy boxes at police departments so kids have something to do when they’re at the station.
