Michael Jones waived his appearance in court Tuesday morning when he was scheduled to appear before a judge to be arraigned on the deaths of Casei Jones' four children.

According to the report, Michael Jones then put his wife's body in a tote, placing it in their bedroom closet. Michael Jones told detectives he was "in it" and had to keep up the persona that Casei Jones was still alive. Following Casei Jones' death, the report reveals Michael Jones arranged to have the children either stay with their biological father or their grandmother. The incident report adds that Casei Jones' ex-husband told police Michael Jones had a history of being abusive towards Casei Jones and the children.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Florida mother of four whose body was recently discovered in South Georgia died of blunt force trauma, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office. The remains of Casei Jones, 32, were found inside her family's van Sept. 15 after her husband was involved in a Brantley County crash. Court records show Jones admitted killing his wife during a July 10 dispute at their Summerfield home. Casei Jones and her children Cameron Bowers, 10; Preston Bowers, 5; Mercalli Jones, 2; and Aiyana Jones, 1 were reported missing Sept. 14 after her mother contacted the Sheriff's Office. Michael Jones is on suicide watch while he remains in custody at the Marion County jail.

According to the affidavit, Michael Jones admitted to killing Casei Jones on July 10 during an argument at their home on Southeast 86th Terrace in Marion County. The Sheriff's Office said Michael Jones told deputies Casei Jones retrieved a baseball bat during the argument. Michael Jones, deputies said, told investigators he took the bat and repeatedly struck Casei Jones, killing her. Michael Jones' ex-wife spoke to News4Jax on Tuesday, who said Michael Jones claimed he and his wife were getting a divorce. She said Michael Jones asked to stay at her home in Jacksonville.

After killing his wife and four young children, Michael Jones drove to Jacksonville with their bodies in his van -- possibly to visit his ex-wife -- before driving on to Georgia, a Marion County deputy told News4Jax on Tuesday. His wife's body was found in his van after Jones crashed in a ditch in Brantley County, Georgia. The Marion County Sheriff's Office said it's believed that Jones killed them in Florida weeks ago and stored their bodies until he drove them into south Georgia. When Brantley County deputies arrived at the scene where Jones crashed, they reported smelling a foul odor coming from his van.

The tragic deaths are felt among people in the community, especially after investigators arrested Jones' husband, Michael Jones Jr., 38, and charged him with killing his wife. She said the shocking twist in the investigation has left her heartbroken because her children were friends with Jones' children. Some friends said that they learned Michael Jones may have been making trips to Georgia to see someone else ahead of the family's disappearance. Michael Jones is currently being held on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with his wife's death. When Michael Jones is charged with the children's deaths he will have another first appearance, authorities said.

"We had not seen her for weeks, but we were getting messages," Jones' sister, Sarah Gilbert, said. It wasnt until Sunday evening when the family van crashed along U.S. 301 in South Georgia that the truth came out. Michael Wayne Jones, Jr., 38, is believed to have been looking for a place to ditch his wifes remains when the crash happened, Marion County Sheriffs Office Sgt. He said its unclear why Jones wifes remains were not placed with those of the children. Jones, who appeared before a judge in Marion County for the first time Thursday, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his wife.

He was arrested by Brantley County authorities on charges of driving with a suspended/revoked license, weaving over a roadway and being a fugitive of justice. Marion County, Florida, officials said a warrant for second-degree murder charges has been issued for Jones' arrest. The Marion County Sheriff's Office said it's believed that Jones killed them in Florida weeks ago, and then stored their bodies and drove them into southern Georgia. Michael Wayne Jones Jr., 38, is charged with second-degree murder in the case, though additional charges are anticipated. "As far as I am concerned, as the sheriff of this county, underneath the jail ain't good enough," Woods said. About 30 minutes away, Trisha Garren lived next door to the last known home of the Jones family.

Casei Jones, 32, and her children, who range in age from 1 to 10, were last seen about six weeks ago in the Ocala, Florida, area, the sheriff's office said. On Sunday, Michael Jones crashed his van near Brantley County in southeast Georgia, about 150 miles north of Jones' last known Florida address. Deputies "smelled a foul odor" coming from Michael Jones' van, according to a Brantley County Sheriff's Office press release. Marion County officials said a warrant for second-degree murder charges has been issued for Jones' arrest. "True evil poked its head up here in Marion County," Sheriff Billy Woods said.

Authorities are searching for a Florida mother and her four children, who have been missing for six weeks.
