The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. and drew a response from Florida Highway Patrol, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Around the same time, FHP reported that a pedestrian was struck and killed while walking in the 9800 block of Baymeadows Road, near Southside Boulevard.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called about 9 p.m. to Woodcrest Road, where they found two women between the ages of 20 and 30 shot. The video shows a dark car traveling down Woodcrest Road, and according to the neighbor, the two women were inside. "They're being followed by that white car right there," he said, pointing to a white, four-door car following closely behind the dark car. Seconds later, the white car sped off in the direction from which it came.
