JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was found shot in a street Wednesday afternoon on the Westside. According to Lt. J. Eason, officers were called to the scene on Cassat Avenue near Clarendon Road at about 4 p.m. He said the Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls in regard to the shooting. He was rushed to a hospital by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department in critical condition. Eason said witnesses were detained for questioning and that police were canvassing the area in an attempt to locate surveillance video.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville grandmother is calling for justice for her grandson, 18-year-old Devon Gregory, who she identified as the person shot and killed by four police officers during a traffic stop Tuesday night on Jacksonville’s Westside. Waters said that officers shot a passenger in a vehicle who became agitated during a traffic stop about 10:40 p.m. at the intersection of San Juan and Cassat avenues. Other than giving the reason for the traffic stop, police did not answer any questions about the shooting on Wednesday. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. According to News4Jax records, this was the 14th person shot by Jacksonville officers this year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three people were killed Friday night in two separate traffic incidents in Jacksonville. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an adult and a 3-year-old child were killed in a single-car crash. The vehicle veered off the road, crashed through a guard rail, and flipped over onto its left-side. The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. and drew a response from Florida Highway Patrol, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Around the same time, FHP reported that a pedestrian was struck and killed while walking in the 9800 block of Baymeadows Road, near Southside Boulevard.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Surveillance video and expert analysis seems to indicate Wednesday night's shooting of two women in the Hillcrest neighborhood on the Westside was not random. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called about 9 p.m. to Woodcrest Road, where they found two women between the ages of 20 and 30 shot. The video shows a dark car traveling down Woodcrest Road, and according to the neighbor, the two women were inside. "They're being followed by that white car right there," he said, pointing to a white, four-door car following closely behind the dark car. Seconds later, the white car sped off in the direction from which it came.
