The News4JAX Super 6 girls high school basketball rankings will be published each Tuesday — except during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas — through the regular season. Records are through Nov. 18.
In what is believed to be a first in the area, Charlsea Clark, who took Bishop Kenny to three straight girls basketball final fours has been hired as the boys basketball coach at Atlantic Coast.

She has got three district championships.”And Jasmyne Roberts, the outgoing senior guard from Bishop Kenny, actually delivered a whole lot more than that. Roberts averaged 21.6 points and 9 rebounds per game for the Crusaders and finished runner-up for the state’s Miss Basketball honor. Roberts finished her high school career with more than 2,000 career points. The exact number even pays tribute to her favorite basketball player, Kobe Bryant. “2,224 career points,” Clark said.

It had been a long time since Bishop Kenny’s girls’ basketball team was a title contender. This season, Clark’s Crusaders earned a trip to the state final four. But it’s the way Roberts has evolved her game as the season progressed that has impressed Clark. And during the playoffs, with all of the Crusaders’ games at home, Roberts was able to enjoy the moment. And we had the one-day turnaround last year, it’s going to be a dogfight and we’ve got to play really, really well.”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tuesday night is the second round of the girls high school basketball state playoffs. St. Augustine beat Ponte Vedra 47-29 in the regular season, and then edged the Sharks 49-45 in the district championship. The Trojans won 51-50 in OT this season, 44-38 last season, 54-50 in 2019 and 52-39 in 2018. That sets up a rematch of the district championship game, won 46-35 by the Christians. C/F Jaidy Mejia (11.2 ppg) and G Laura Gonzalez (10.2 ppg) lead NFEI.
