Jaguars cornerback Chris Claybrooks is headed to the NFL Commissioner Exempt List, the league announced on Tuesday.

Game day is right around the corner. In the football world, it is Thursday even though it is Wednesday. It’s weird but it works. Since the game is on Saturday, the schedule moves up a day. Practice reflected the game prep. Wednesday was the 12th practice of camp and was a less physical day at the office.

Outside of a few dynamic plays, the defense controlled the day for the Jaguars on the fifth day of training camp.

Here were my top four takeaways from the game:A mixed day for Jake LutonJake Luton had a day in line with what you would expect form a rookie. It was the fourth longest first completion for an NFL rookie in history. Then, needing a two-point conversion to tie the game, Luton threw behind DJ Chark. For the game, Luton completed 26 of 38 passes for 304 yards. • The Ugly: In the third quarter, Luton made a bad decision and throw under pressure and that led to an interception by Vernon Hargreaves III.

Jones had been listed as questionable after missing practice throughout the week with a hamstring injury. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The Jacksonville Jaguars signed their final four draft picks Monday, including first-rounder KLavon Chaisson. Fifth-round safety Daniel Thomas, sixth-round quarterback Jake Luton and seventh-round kick returner Chris Claybrooks also signed rookie deals. Jacksonville now has its largest draft class 12 players under contract a day before rookies are scheduled to report for COVID-19 testing. Under the NFLs rookie slotting system, Chaisson was scheduled to get a four-year deal worth $13.3 million that includes a $7.3 million signing bonus. The contract includes a team option for a fifth year.
