Flagler College filled a major coaching vacancy by hiring Greg Gulliams on Friday morning to lead its baseball program. Gulliams is one of the winningest coaches in NCAA Division II history.

The University of North Florida is mourning the loss of former baseball coach Tim Parenton after a long battle with cancer. Parenton, who fought the disease for four long years, was 61 years old.

The Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference each had four teams selected as regional sites for the NCAA baseball tournament.
