The accused burglar, later identified as Elbert Gilliard IV, ran out of the house but was spotted coming out of nearby woods, deputies said. One of the responding deputies quickly recognized Gilliard, 32, because of his distinctive facial tattoo. According to his arrest report, Gilliard was found inside a Carpenter Road home about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. When the homeowner discovered Gilliard in his house, he pulled out his .22-caliber pistol and tried to hold Gilliard at gunpoint while he called authorities, deputies said.

The Sheriff's Office told News4Jax that JetBlue aircrafts go to HAECO regularly for service, but the airline does not have flights out of the Lake City Airport. "We are pretty confident that maybe someone is missing three kilos of cocaine and they are wondering where it is. The Lake City Police Department, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Drug Enforcement Agency, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will be assisting the Sheriff's Office in the investigation.

Lake City woman arrested in burglary

Detectives identified Brandy Colwell, 30, as a suspect in several recent burglaries that occurred in the Lake City Country Club. They found stolen property in her yard and house, according to the CCSO. During an interview with detectives, Colwell admitted her 13-year-old child was with her during a burglary where a victim fired a gun as they fled the scene, according to CCSO. Colwell is being held in the Columbia County Detention facility on no bond, pending at least nine other burglary charges.
