Read full article: Georgia coronavirus cases exceed 6,600 as deaths rise to 211The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Georgia increased to 6,647, up 264 cases from Saturday evening, according to data released Sunday morning by the Georgia Department of Public Health. Of the confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide, 74 cases have been reported in Southeast Georgia, with five new cases reported late Sunday morning: 29 in Glynn County (up one case from Saturday evening), nine cases in Camden County (up three cases) and two cases in Chalrton County (up one case). There were no changes in the number of cases reported in Pierce County (16 cases) and Ware County (18 cases). Fulton County still has the highest number of confirmed cases in Georgia with 962, and 27 deaths have been reported in the county. The small Southwest Georgia county of Dougherty has had 30 reported deaths, the most of any county in the state, and 686 confirmed cases.
