LONDON The British issue of Vogue is devoting its September issue to activism, with a cover featuring two Black activists and produced by a predominantly Black team. The cover features 22-year-old Manchester United soccer star Marcus Rashford, who in June successfully campaigned to force Britains government to grant free food vouchers to poor families during the summer holidays. They were photographed by Misan Harriman, the first Black photographer tasked with shooting the magazines September issue traditionally seen as the most important one in the Vogue calendar. The fold-out cover features 18 other faces, including campaigners for the Black Lives Matter movement, feminists and anti-racism activists. He said that the incident highlighted how despite his achievements, "the first thing that some people will judge you on is the color of your skin.Last year, the September issue of British Vogue was guest-edited by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.

British Vogue magazine has announced that Meghan Markle is the guest editor of its anticipated September issue. The duchess secretly worked with British Vogue for seven months to create the anticipated September issue. Meghan had one request: "I want to see freckles!" As Meghan gains praise for her work on the magazine, the cover is coming under fire because it may have been inspired by a book the duchess worked on in the past. Three years ago, Meghan wrote an essay for "The Game Changers," which also shows black-and-white photos of 15 trailblazing women.

Meghan Markle is guest editing the upcoming issue, and ET has learned that the Duchess of Sussex is expected to participate in some photos at her new residence at Frogmore to supplement her collaboration with the U.K. fashion magazine. This will mark Meghan's first big job since welcoming her first child, son Archie, with Prince Harry in May. ET understands that at this time, there is no agreement in place for Meghan to participate in a regular column for U.S. Vogue with Anna Wintour.
