A 17-year-old Englewood High School student was arrested Monday after police said they found multiple guns in his car.

Englewood High School went on a lockdown on Tuesday because of a “rumor of a potential school shooting”. Officials said the students are safe and there is no threat to the school.

A former head boys basketball coach at Englewood High School was arrested in Clay County and accused of five felony counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

Englewood High School was placed on a Code Red lockdown Friday after a report of a firearm on campus.

Kevin Johnson grew up within walking distance of Englewood High School and later starred for the Rams. Now, he's taking over as the head football coach.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Two city swimming pools remained closed as of Friday and they are not expected to open for weeks, a city spokesperson said. News4Jax reported last month that on the first week of summer break for Duval County students, seven of the 34 public pools in Jacksonville were not open for various reasons. Since then, the city has reopened five of those pools, including the pool at Englewood High School on the Southside, which had been slated to reopen Saturday. But the city spokesperson said the Englewood Pool has already opened back up. Both pools were supposed to reopen Saturday, but now, they aren't anticipated to open until next month.
