A 45-year-old woman who was crossing U.S. 1 at Fairfax Street was hit by a car and killed Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A woman is in the hospital after being shot multiple times during a domestic dispute, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

A man suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds Tuesday on W. 13th Street between Fairfax Street and Myrtle Avenue, police said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was arrested in connection with a shooting Sunday in the city’s Mid-Westside neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The shooting happened around 3:45 p.m. on West 11th Street near Fairfax Street. Police said they found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and he was taken to an area hospital for treatment. According to an arrest report, Tolbert had an ongoing feud with the victim, who was dating a woman with whom Tolbert had a child. The victim told police that he was getting something out of his car when the shooting happened, according to the report.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Firefighters with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said a child has critical injuries after a crash Friday afternoon on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. The crash happened sometime just after 3 p.m. near the intersection of Fairfax Street. According to JFRD, the child was said to have critical injuries.
