One person is dead after crashing his truck Monday morning in the Mandarin neighborhood.

A man is dead after a shooting Wednesday night at a Northside home where there were children present, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

All four vehicles came to a stop and no one else was hurt, FHP said.

A child has died and two other people were hurt in a crash involving a semi-truck on I-295 Thursday night.

One person has died after crashing their motorcycle Thursday night.

One person is dead after an early Sunday morning crash on the northwest side of the city.

Traffic heading southbound on Interstate 295 was blocked at New Kings Road for nearly three hours after a pickup truck rear-ended a tractor-trailer.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 44-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash Thursday morning in San Mateo as Corrections Capt. Mark Elam.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla – A man is dead after hitting another car head-on in St. Johns County around 8:20 on Friday night. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving south when he crashed into a car heading north, causing his car to go up in flames. The two vehicles were driving in opposite directions on A1A, just north of Milliken Lane, when they crashed into each other. The driver of the other car has minor injuries. Investigators are still trying to figure out why the driver veered into oncoming traffic.

ORANGE PARK, Fla – A 24-year-old man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a woman in Orange Park on Christmas Day, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday. Kiaun Shannard Miller is charged with second-degree murder and his being held without bond in the Clay County jail. Deputies said Shantdella Garcon was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the Park at Matera apartment complex off Spencer Road in Orange Park. Neighbors said investigators were at the complex for hours on Christmas Day, gathering information. JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Three cars were heading east on Butler Boulevard when one of them was hit and lost control. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one of the cars, a red Lexus coupe, hit a gray Ford pickup while trying to pass it. The Lexus lost control and overturned multiple times. The BMW also lost control causing it to drive across three lanes of traffic before hitting a concrete barrier. Luckily, the driver of the Ford pickup managed to pull over into the emergency lane safely.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Just after midnight Sunday, Jacksonville police responded to a single-car crash near the intersection of Kennedy Court and Vinton Road in the Englewood neighborhood. When officers arrived they found two people inside the vehicle. One occupant died at the scene, while the other was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive. Luke Kennedy, 16, and Parker Rowley, 17, are being remembered as inseparable friends. On Friday, they were in a crash that involved a pickup truck on State Road 16. Monday night, members of their school -- St. Johns Classical Academy -- honored their lives with a candlelight vigil. It’s been a heartbreaking couple of days for the people that cared for and loved Parker Rowley (17) and Luke Kennedy (16). The two best friends died in car crash Friday.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old Clay County boy was killed Friday night in a head-on crash on State Road 16 at Francis Road in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Middleburg teen was a passenger in a car driven by a 16-year-old boy, also from Middleburg, the FHP report showed. According to the crash report, the 16-year-old driving on State Road 16 about 8:15 p.m. Friday ignored the right of way of a pickup truck at the intersection with Francis Road. The resulting head-on crash killed the 17-year-old passenger of the car and seriously injured the 16-year-old driver. All lanes of SR-16 between I-95 and Pacetti Road were blocked in both directions while troopers investigated the crash.

Troopers said a disabled vehicle was in the center lane of the interstate around 2 a.m. The passenger of the disabled car and the good Samaritan both died at the scene, according to the accident report. Both the driver of the disabled vehicle that was being pushed and the driver of the car that struck it, sustained minor injuries. FHP traffic homicide is continuing to investigate the crash. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was found dead behind a home in Hyde Park on Saturday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Police and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department arrived at a residence on Red Robin Drive around 8:20 p.m. to conduct a welfare check on a man seen lying on the ground. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man died early Saturday morning after driving a Chevy Camaro into a concrete JEA utility pole on University Boulevard South and Barnhill Drive, according to the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office. Witnesses at the scene told police it appeared the driver was racing another car about 1:25 a.m. before losing control and running into the pole. The driver died at the scene. The second car drove off before officers arrived. Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating the crash.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 25-year-old woman was killed in a deadly hit-and-run accident while crossing Lane Avenue on Saturday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The woman was crossing Lane Avenue when she was struck by the hit-and-run driver who was traveling Northbound, according to JSO. The Sheriff’s Office says the incident was captured by nearby video. JSO Traffic Homicide is leading a further investigation into this deadly hit-and-run accident. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are searching for a gunman after a man was shot and killed late Saturday night outside of an apartment complex on the city’s Southside, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said. After receiving at least four 911 calls about a shooting just before 11:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office said, police found a man dead outside of the Bennett Creek Apartments on Bennett Creek Drive near Salisbury Road at Bowden Road. Police said the man had been shot at least once. The Sheriff’s Office said it believes the shooter fled from the scene but it has no information about that person at this time. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Five adults were taken to various hospitals after a head-on crash just after midnight Saturday on Old Middleburg Road North near Fouraker Road just after midnight Saturday morning. One of those victims has died, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. According to officers, the person who died may have been ejected from one of the two vehicles. Traffic Homicide investigators continue to investigate the crash, including searching for video cameras that may have captured the events. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck and killed on Beach Boulevard while crossing Beach Boulevard on Saturday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Highway Patrol said an SUV was traveling east on Beach Boulevard near Thalia Road around 10 p.m. when that pedestrian stepped out in front of the moving vehicle. Troopers said SUV then collided with the pedestrian, who was not at an intersection. The pedestrian, a 37-year-old Jacksonville man, was transported to a hospital, where he died, troopers said. According to the Highway Patrol, the driver of the SUV, a 32-year-old Jacksonville man, and the two passengers, a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, were not injured.

Jacksonville, FLA The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a traffic accident on Argyle Forest Boulevard and Westport Road Saturday around 7:38pm. A man and a woman inside one of the vehicles died from the crash. The cars crashed while one was making a left turn on Argyle Forest Boulevard. The Jacksonville Sheriffs Office Traffic Homicide is investigating what lead up to the crash to find out who was at fault. There have not been any witnesses to the crash at this time.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Jacksonville Sheriffs Officers arrived at the WaWa gas station on Wilson Boulevard on Jacksonvilles Westside just after 11:30 Saturday night, in response to a reported shooting. Officers found who appeared to be a teenage girl suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Police say that primary investigation uncovered that there was an altercation of some kind inside the convenience store. The arguing parties proceeded into the parking lot, where after sometime, one of the individuals involved fired a handgun, striking the victim. Police say they believe that all of the individuals involved in the incident have been detained.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on I-295 near 103rd Street on Jacksonvilles Westside around 10:00 Saturday night. Responding crews reported that one person died in an accident that involved at least one vehicle. All northbound lanes on I-295 were shut down for several hours. Traffic was diverted onto 103rd street. All lanes have since been cleared and reopened.

Police arrested Pedro Navarro, 48, and charged him with murder. The shooting occurred on April 24. The man shot, who was not identified, died at a hospital during emergency surgery. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Homicide detectives are investigating after a man shot several times at a home in East Arlington on Friday night died. Jacksonville officers called to Tropic Drive East before 10 p.m. found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department took the man to a local hospital, he died during emergency surgery. News4Jax spoke with a neighbor who said he was putting his child to bed when he heard at least three gunshots. Lewis said this is the first time anything like this has happened in the six years he’s lived in the neighborhood.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 44-year-old man has died after a crash on State Road 100 at South Pine Avenue in Putnam County. The Florida Highway Patrol said Peter Malave was traveling east on State Road 100 when his Dodge Ram truck veered off the road. The truck continued into the grass shoulder, hitting a cable box and then a wooden power pole. The vehicle flipped multiple times before stopping at the tree line near the roadway. Malave was taken to Putnam Community Medical but died from his injuries.
