First Coast Crime Stoppers held a digital conference to highlight the cold case of a Jacksonville woman who was murdered in 1999.

A tip from First Coast Crime Stoppers led to the arrests of two people accused in the shooting death of 7-year-old Breon Allen Jr., the organization’s executive director Chase Robinson told News4JAX on Wednesday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are searching for a gunman after a man was shot and killed late Saturday night outside of an apartment complex on the city’s Southside, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said. After receiving at least four 911 calls about a shooting just before 11:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office said, police found a man dead outside of the Bennett Creek Apartments on Bennett Creek Drive near Salisbury Road at Bowden Road. Police said the man had been shot at least once. The Sheriff’s Office said it believes the shooter fled from the scene but it has no information about that person at this time. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville family is mourning the death of a Ribault High student who was shot and killed Thursday night. Loved ones say Inandi Wyche, 17, was a good student and cheerleader who planned to study at Florida A&M University. They identified Wyche as the young woman found dead about 7 p.m. Thursday following a shooting near Portsmouth Avenue and Norfolk Boulevard. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a grey car pulled up in front of Wyche’s vehicle, then two men got out of the vehicle and opened fire. The Sheriff’s Office said a young man was also shot, but he was hospitalized with injuries that were not deemed life-threatening.
