Twenty-two local veterans flew to the nation’s capital Saturday morning as a part of the First Coast Honor Flight.

Nearly two dozen veterans flew to the nation’s capital Saturday morning as a part of the First Coast Honor Flight.

They were a part of the most recent "Honor Flight" and many consider this one-day excursion "the trip of a lifetime."

The First Coast Honor Flight sent its first plane of veterans to Washington, D.C. on Saturday morning.
