You may have thought the vote counting in this primary election was over but here in North Florida, it continues, at least for one race. More than likely there is going to be an automatic recount to determine who the democratic candidate will be for the newly drawn congressional district 4.

A steady stream of voters could be seen on Tuesday going to cast their ballot at voting locations across the Northeast Florida area in Florida’s primary election.

If you haven’t submitted a ballot for the primary, Tuesday is the last day to do it, but one thing to remember is you need to bring an ID with you.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Despite warnings from President Donald Trump, Floridians have cast mail-in ballots in record numbers before Tuesday’s Florida Primary. Of 2.66 million votes cast statewide by Monday, 2.1 million were done on mail-in ballots and 554,814 voted in-person during early voting. Of votes cast, 1,029,277 were by Republican voters, 1,280,904 by Democrats and 387,632 by NPA and other party voters. The percentage of Floridians voting by mail has grown in the recent election cycles, with 1.28 million using mail-in ballots in the 2016 primary and 1.35 million in the 2018 primary. The number of Democrats using mail-in ballots is growing faster than Republicans.

CLERMONT, Fla. (AP) – A central Florida woman is accused of submitting false voter registration information that switched the party affiliations of voters without their knowledge, sheriff's investigators said. She's charged with 10 felony counts of submission of false voter registration information. A day earlier Lake County officials had announced that 119 false voter registration applications had been filed, news outlets reported. Elections officials flagged the forms because they included incorrect information, including birth dates, Social Security numbers or driver's license numbers. Sheriff's investigators said all 119 false forms were assigned to Hall, a registered Republican, to collect.
