Florida gas prices spiked across most of the state last week, as historic flooding in South Florida caused widespread gasoline outages, prompting the reallocation of fuel supplies from other regions, according to AAA.

On Monday, the state average was $3.58 per gallon. That’s tied with the highest price of 2023, which was initially set in late January, according to data from AAA.

Florida gas prices are back up.

As gasoline prices continue to rise, people who have to fill their vehicles up with diesel are having to take even more money out of their wallets.

This week marked the ninth straight week that the nation’s average price of gas posted a rise, climbing 7.5 cents from the week prior, according to GasBuddy.
