JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The Jacksonville Sheriffs Office was responding to a stalled vehicle Sunday morning when a semi crash happened on I295 near Gate Parkway. According to JSO, the officer approached a vehicle that had stalled in the left lane of the interstate, which was flooded, to attempt to move the vehicle out of the roadway. During that time the vehicle was struck by a semi truck, which pushed the officer into the stalled vehicle. The semi then struck the concrete barrier. The Jacksonville Sheriffs Office Traffic Homicide Unit has responded to conduct an investigation.

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in the Nov. 15 murder of Felisia Williams, who was shot and killed in her Gate Parkway apartment. Police called to the Gardens of Bridgehampton apartment complex that afternoon found the woman dead in one of the units. Keeshaun Glover, 23, was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. On 25-year-old man was shot and killed Nov. 8 at the Century Deerwood Park Apartments on Gate Parkway. As of Friday, that victim has not been named and no one has been arrested in the case.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 25-year-old man is dead after he was shot multiple times in the parking lot of a Southside apartment complex Friday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Dozens of officers first flooded the apartment complex near J. Turner Butler Boulevard around 9 p.m. in response to the shooting and found the man with multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses told JSO they saw a man wearing black clothing running north from the scene of the shooting. "I heard the helicopter around for about an hour right above our apartment complex," Horta said. JSO said Friday night the motive for the shooting was unknown but investigators were speaking to witnesses in the apartment complex in order to better understand what happened.
