The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office dive team van and a couple of police vehicles could be seen Thursday at the home in Goodby's Creek. According to city records and other neighbors, a family moved into the home about two years ago after doing major renovations on the house. “They made terrific improvements to the property they bought and basically have been rather diligent -- to me, model neighbors,” neighbor Paul Heck said.

Firefighters with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department were called to Kensington Square, near Goodby's creek where flames could be seen shooting through the roof late Wednesday night. Red Cross was requested to help several people but one person was found dead. JFRD said the fire heavily damaged three apartments at the six-building complex.
