The Jaguars are getting some reinforcements in the secondary.

With only backups playing for both teams it was about what you would expect — a sloppy preseason game. With players on the roster bubble getting the majority of the playing time, a few guys were able to make a statement. Here are my Four Cents:

Outside of a few dynamic plays, the defense controlled the day for the Jaguars on the fifth day of training camp.

It was a drizzle-filled day of practice for the Jaguars on the third day of training camp, but the rain didn’t put a damper on the intensity of practice. After a sloppy day on Thursday, things rebounded on Friday. The stands filled with season ticket holders watching closely and they were treated to some fireworks.

The Jaguars finalized their roster on Tuesday afternoon, with the most notable cuts coming on the defensive line and in the secondary.

Five of the Jaguars' seven draft picks signed their rookie deals on Thursday as they prepared for this weekend's rookie mini-camp.
